The New York State Podiatric Medical Association (NYSPMA) is a tax-exempt not-for-profit, voluntary professional association uniting 3 of every 4 doctors of podiatric medicine (DPM's) in New York State. NYSPMA is the largest statewide component of the American Podiatric Medical Association (www.apma.org) and its affiliated national network of certifying boards and professional colleges. Established in 1895, we were the first organization of its kind in America.Mission Statement

Doctors of Podiatric Medicine are valued in New York State and nationally as part of the health care team and are respected for their consistent clinical excellence and key role in the changing health care delivery environment.

Membership provides you with a strong voice in the state legislature on insurance affairs, medical and hospital practice, managed care, scientific affairs, and public health, as well as the voice and conscience of more than 1200 members who support podiatric medicine—over 80% of the podiatrists in New York State. Your membership strengthens your practice and contributes to the profession of podiatry today and in years to come.
