For GHI, what procedure code do we bill for immobilization (i.e., a cast)?
There are different CPT® codes for cast immobilization depending on what type of cast was applied. These coding options do not change based on the third party payer. For the casts that may be applied by a podiatrist, options include:
CPT® 29345 - Application of long leg cast (thigh to toes)
CPT® 29355 - Application of long leg cast (thigh to toes); walker or ambulatory type
