The local Medicare contractor for New York does not have an LCD or coding article that specifically states if this injection is covered for Morton’s Neuroma. However, other Medicare contractors do have coverage documents that do state that CPT 64632 with a diagnosis of G57.61-63 is medically necessary and covered. This procedure should be able to be performed on the Medicare beneficiary with no concerns regarding reimbursement.
