Update: as of 12/31/2021
As of this writing, there is no city or CDC mandate against in-person meetings therefore NY22 will proceed as originally planned. As we have seen, circumstances change day by day so we remain ready to adapt to any mandates. Despite the lack of a governmental prohibition we’ve had several members express concern about traveling within the City or attending such an event. I would like to state, unequivocally, that The Foundation for Podiatric Medicine and NYSPMA have made plans for every member to have the opportunity to obtain the credits they need regardless of whether NY22 takes place in-person or not.
The Foundation for Podiatric Medicine and NYSPMA are closely monitoring guidance from health and governmental authorities and to date, no limitation or restriction has been issued that will impair or prevent conferences like NY22 from taking place. As such, NY22 is still taking place as an in-person conference.
The Foundation will take steps to ensure that programming for CE credits is made available to all members. In the event of an NY22 cancellation, any online continuing education provided by The Foundation will not coincide with the original conference dates (Jan. 20-23, 2022). If there is no change to regulations, then like healthcare in general, we will proceed as anticipated with all appropriate mitigation strategies in place to hold an in-person NY22 Clinical Conference
Please continue to check the NY22 Clinical Conference and Foundation website for news about NY22, and news about online continuing education later in 2022. Please be assured, that no matter the fate of the conference, every member will have an opportunity to obtain the credits they need.
