Veterans Affairs Provider Equity Act - Support the Drive

NYSPMA is joining APMA and other professional societies to support a drive to enhance the US Veterans Health Administration’s ability to recruit and retain the best qualified foot and ankle care providers—podiatrists like ourselves.

We can resolve this problem and advance our legislative goals for the profession by passing S 2175, the Department of Veterans Affairs Provider Equity Act. The bill was unanimously passed by the US House of Representatives in February, and now it is the Senate’s turn to act.

How can you help?

Sign this online petition demanding action, and then share the petition on Facebook and Twitter. When you share the petition, tell your friends, family, and patients why it is imperative for veterans to receive care by a podiatrist. Share the petition in your practice, as well, and encourage your patients to share it on their own social media feeds. To have the biggest impact on your Senators we encourage all members to follow up by sending a pre-written message via APMA’s eAdvocacy website.

Our veterans have given years of their lives in the service of our country. Give five minutes of your time to ensure that they are able to get the help they need to live full and active lives. Act now!
