Empire MediBlue BCBS Issue Resolved

Empire BCBS/MediBlue has fixed a claim system error which had been incorrectly rejecting mycotic nail debridement and at risk foot care.

The plan has begun to re-process all rejected/denied claims and providers should begin to see corrected claim payments coming their way over the next several weeks.

We have asked for clarification on whether or not claim payments that are in violation of New York State’s timely claim payment regulations would have the appropriate interest added to the payment.
