NYSPMA Board of Trustees Holds Board Meeting at NYCPM

For the first time, the NYSPMA Board of Trustee held their board meeting at NYCPM. This took place August 5th, 2015. NYCPM were gracious hosts, allowing us to occupy the Bruce Frankel Conference Center for a full day. We had the opportunity to meet the Class of 2018. This will continue and gives NYSPMA a greater presence at NYCPM. This allows board members to meet students and to better understand their needs and concerns. It also allows NYSPMA to meet the students regularly. I feel this will familiarize them with what we do as an Association and hopefully increase their involvement with NYSPMA as students, residents and when in practice. 

The NYSPMA Board of Directors met August 5 at the NY College of Podiatric Medicine. Our hosts flanking President Shapiro are College President & CEO Louis Levine (left) and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean Michael Trepal, DPM (right)
